Today I advised the Honourable Grace Grace MP, Minister for Education, Minister for Industrial Relations and Minister for Racing of my resignation as the Work Health and Safety Prosecutor, with effect from 11 March 2022.
By then, I will have served three years as the Work Health and Safety Prosecutor, and 21 years as a prosecutor and public servant.
My appointment as the inaugural Work Health and Safety Prosecutor and my career as a public servant were a privilege. I am proud of the achievements of the Office of the Work Health and Prosecutor, its staff, and the contribution they have made to improving the safety of all Queensland workers.
I thank the Minister, the Director-General, and the Deputy Director-General, Office of Industrial Relations for their unwavering support of the important work of the Office of the Work Health and Safety Prosecutor during my tenure.
Aaron Guilfoyle
